Sadly, this is the only place some Arab Palestinians have to live. Out in the hot, hot dessert. Amy said people call them Bedouins but they're not really because they stay in one spot.

My mom and I spent two weeks in Jerusalem over Mother's Day! We stayed with my sister Amy, whose husband Tom is finishing his master's degree at Hebrew University. Their kids Joni (5) and Jackson (2) made the trip extra special. I created this blog so our families back home could experience it with us. If you're curious about Jerusalem, click on whatever looks interesting on the left column. It starts at the bottom with Day 1.
I wonder if there are any Bedouins in that part of Israel who wander from place to place anymore? When I went to Jordan, I had a Bedouin guide, who went to college to get his license. He was great fun! When the people on my tour mentioned the garbage, etc, laying around, he said, "Let me explain that. Frankly we don't care!" And that was that!!!
