In 11 of the many caves in this area were stored Dead Sea Scrolls from around the time of Christ. One cave is just over my head, and another is to the right of Amy's head.

One of many, many bathing pools the men who lived in this group used to wash themselves at least twice a day, before the noon and evening meals. Washings were for both physical and spiritual cleanliness to them.
It was HOT there! Very, very dry desert land.
This is a photo of a row of shelves that Amy thinks was found pretty much like the plaque illustration, in the room pictured below.
